Sadly, April 3, 2006, Kansas City lost one of its great area football coaches when Dave Bassore was killed in an automobile accident on his way home from work. Coach Bassore was much loved and will be sadly missed. He was a great inspirtation to many young men that he coached throughout his career. In this video he is reading his favorite inspirational poem at the end-of-season football awards dinner, William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri.

This season, when the Wildcats take the field, they will be wearing a "DB" sticker to honor Coach Bassore's memory.  The deepest sympathies and thoughts of the coaching staff and program at Blue Springs are with the Bassore family.

Video tribute was created by Kelly Klingler, mother of one of Coach Bassore's former players at William Jewell College.
