After having no school yesterday, his kids had been uncharacteristically quiet on the trip to Columbia, and he worried what they were thinking. Given the realities of the district, he worried they might look past the one-win Bruins and on to the playoffs, or be concerned with whether Blue Springs South was going to help them get there in the first place.

Miller produced the bulk of the Wildcats offense on the night, running for four touchdowns and 180 yards on a eight carries in Blue Springs' (9-1, 2-1) 49-7 victory Friday over Rock Bridge (1-9, 0-3).

The Wildcat junior receiver/running back/defensive back made plays offensive and defensively to help the Wildcats grab a wild 48-38 Class 6 District 8 win at Peve Stadium. Halterman's catch completes stunning comeback

Did you catch the deuce?” Halterman, who needed teammate Keeston Terry to help him take his jersey over his shoulder pads because he was simply too beat up to get the job done, nodded yes. “Man, what a catch! Mizzou's Heisman finalist helps out at Blue Springs camp

Roy Miller woke up Friday morning, put on his best University of Missouri football gear and headed for Peve Stadium, on the campus of Blue Springs High School.
The lifetime University of Missouri fan was there to see Tiger quarterback Chase Daniel, the Heisman Trophy candidate who led the 12-2 Tigers to a Cotton Bowl championship and the No. 4 overall rating last year.
Daniel was the featured coach at Friday’s Quarterbacks and Wide Receiver Camp at Blue Springs High School. Daniel had been a guest coach the past two years and told Wildcats football coach Kelly Donohoe that he would clear some time on his schedule to attend this year.
“I know Kelly is a Jayhawk,” quipped Daniel, “but he’s a Tiger at heart.” - read more
 
Trio makes QB camp special

As more than 175 youngsters gathered at midfield at Peve Stadium, on the campus of Blue Springs High School, Wildcats coach Kelly Donohoe made a pretty impressive statement about the coaching staff at his Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers Football Camp.
“We may never again have three quarterbacks at this camp who are mentioned in the same breath as the Heisman Trophy,” said Donohoe, referring to 2008 Heisman finalist Chase Daniel of Missouri, Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing and Kansas State starter Josh Freeman, who each drew a lot of national attention for their signal calling abilities. - read more
